Air Borealis is currently seeking applicants for a Flight Follower position in Goose Bay, NL.
Duties:
- Provide flight following for all Air Borealis and PAL Airlines flights for the area of operation
- Check and monitor weather conditions
- Prepare flight and weather packages for flight crew
- Monitor passenger and cargo loads for all flights
- Maintain radio communication with all flights
- Provide coordination of ground services, counter services, and flight crews with respect to arriving and departing flights
- Coordinate the aircraft assignments and service ability with maintenance
- Coordinate crew assignments with crew schedulers and flight operations while abiding to Transport Canada regulations and Standard Operating Procedures
- Coordinate the passenger/cargo loads to ensure efficient movement of aircraft
- During periods of irregular operations identify alternate solutions to successful operation
- Maintain constant communication with the St. John's operations center on the status of flights using the daily line-up and company software programs
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Familiar with Microsoft Office products
- Ability to read and interpret weather using Aviation Weather Web Site would be an asset
- Radio Operator License would be an asset
